Based on Android Wear, coming in Q2 2014
Just a few minutes after Google’s official Android Wear announcement, LG has announced its first smartwatch based on Google’s Android Wear, the LG G Watch.
Somewhat proving that recent rumors regarding LG Nexus smartwatch were definitely true, the LG has announced its new LG G Watch, co-developed with Google. To make things even more interesting, the rumored specifications were spot on as the LG G Watch will pack a 1.65-inch screen with 280×280 resolution, 512MB of RAM as well as 4GB of storage.
Unfortunately, neither LG or earlier rumors detailed any information regarding the actual SoC which will power the new LG G Watch, but LG did note that the new smartwatch will be ready in Q2 this year, which means that we will definitely hear more about it quite soon.
