New production line
LG Display plans to spend US$960 million to build a new liquid display production line.
The sixth-generation production line will be operational by the middle of next year. The news was not greeted with cheers by the stock market who are worried that the additional output will worsen an anticipated supply glut of the panels.
Most analysts are predicting an over supply from October.
