Security experts claim to have found three security flaws in a popular version of the Linux kernel.
According to a SecurityFocus, the bugs allow unauthorized users to read or write to kernel memory locations or to access certain resources in certain servers. With a little bit of hacking they could be used for denial of service attacks or gain "root" privileges, according to security.
The bug affects all versions of the Linux kernel up to version 2.6.24.1. The later kernel has been patched.
