Motorola’s next big mid-range phone sounds like a beast

Motorola is lining up another handset, and the Edge 70 Fusion is already spilling its guts thanks to noted leaker Evan Blass, aka @evleaks.

The Edge 70 Fusion will not be as powerful as the Motorola Signature, but it looks set to give the Edge 60 Fusion a proper kicking in all the places that matter.

It is tipped to pack a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate tech and brightness reaching 5,200 nits, which is an eye-watering figure for the price bracket.

Power is said to come from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, with eight or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, so it should be nippy enough for the usual app-hopping chaos.

Camera-wise, the leak points to a 50MP LYTIA main sensor on the back and a 32MP selfie camera, which reads like Motorola is aiming for solid rather than silly.

The real party trick is a 7,000mAh battery paired with 68W charging, a combo made for people who forget chargers exist until the phone is wheezing at two per cent.

Durability gets the marketing stamps too, with MIL-STD-810H listed alongside IP68 and IP69 water- and dust-resistance, so it should cope with rain, grit and clumsy mates.

The front is apparently protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and shaped into a quad-curved panel, because flat screens are for people who like practicality and peace.

Around the back, Motorola is said to be going for nylon and linen-inspired finishes in Pantone Orient Blue, Sporting Green, Blue Surf, Country Air and Silhouette, which is a lot of words for “it won’t look boring”.

There is also talk of three guaranteed OS upgrades, a promise Android buyers have learned to read twice, slowly, with a raised eyebrow.

If you stared at the Moto G Power 2026 and couldn’t spot what changed from the 2025 model, the Edge 70 Fusion leak suggests Motorola is not playing that same lazy game here.
