MSI P6NGM series
Micro-Star International has announced the launch of its P6NGM series motherboards that are based on Nvidia's MCP73 chipset.
MSI has announced that it will show at least 4 new SKUs based on the Nvidia MCP73 chipset, ranging from the "high performance" Geforce 7150 + Nforce 630i to entry level Geforce 7050 + Nforce 610i. The new series supports LGA775 Intel Core 2 Quad/Duo Processors with FSB 1333/1066/800/533MHz, with DDR2-800/667/533.
Following the release of what MSI claimed to be the world's first HDMI ready motherboard, MSI K9AGM2 based on DAAMIT's 690G/SB600 chipset, MSI claims that this one is the world's first HDMI ready motherboard for Intel Core 2 Duo processors.
The MSI P6NGM-FIH, or so called "high performance" motherboard in that series is based on Geforce 7150 + Nforce 630i with integrated HDMI interface with HDCP. The motherboard also features an analog D-sub. According to MSI, the integrated Geforce 7 offers high integrated 3D performance and great video playback in Intel platform. The motherboard also offers resolution up to 1920×1080 (1080i) HD video output.
It has one PCIe x16, one PCIe x1 slot and two plain PCI slots. It also has 4 SATA2 with RAID 0/1/0+1/5 support, 7.1 channel HD audio and Gigabit LAN. All of these slots and features are nicely packed in a microATX form factor motherboard.
It would be interesting to see this motherboard compared to the MSI K9AGM2 based on DAAMIT's 690G/SB600 chipset.
