Just in time to take on Kindle Fire
Barnes & Noble is reportedly planning to introduce a new Nook tablet next week in New York.
The publisher has already sent out invitations for an event on Monday, November 7, with a prominent Nook logo and the promise of a “very special” announcement.
However, the company never discussed the introduction of a new tablet, so some are pretty skeptical. The launch would make a lot of sense, since it would closely coincide with the start of sales of Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet.
If this is the case, the low-end Android tablet market could see a very interesting showdown just in time for the holidays.
