China complains
The Glorious People's Republic
of China has declared an Internet cultural revolution by slamming Google for
spreading porn.
Chinese Mandarins slammed Google for allowing pornographic
content to seep into the nation and threatening to punish the search
engine. China Internet Illegal Information Reporting Centre said that Google
China's website has not installed filters to block pornography in
accordance with the laws and regulations of the glorious nation. The
statement, which was read on state-run broadcaster China Central
Television's evening news bulletin, said that unless Google cleaned up
the smut it will be punished.
Action against Google is the latest in a
move by the government to stop people getting their paws on porn. Well when
we say people, we do not mean senior communist officials who need to see a
lot of porn to protect the workers from it. Recently the Chinese ordered
porn filters to be installed on every new computer. The filter has a nasty
habit of censoring pictures of pigs because they are too pink. We guess
pigs have to be red or dead in China.
