Tata big winner here
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. of Mumbai, India has announced that is has signed a 10-year IT services outsourcing contract with The Nielsen Company. Tata is India’s top services exporter. The contract is reportedly worth $1.2 billion.
While this is good news for Tata, it spells more bad news for U.S. workers in the IT industry. The U.S. IT industry has seen millions of IT jobs outsourced to offshore companies or subcontracted to offshore workers as U.S. companies claim they must do so to cut costs and to remain competitive.
