Despite Infineon's warning
Despite the fact that its chip partner, Infineon, says it has been delayed in making its single chip for Nokia, the phone maker said it is still on target to complete the project.
A Nokia spokesman did not expect to have any impact from Infineon's announcement, as it has multiple suppliers for single-chip solutions. These include single-chip products from Texas Instruments.
It was believed that Nokia was only looking at other suppliers as a way of controlling Infineon's costs, but it looks like this project might have been for another reason.
