One big chip
We wrote that after D8E, Geforce 9800 GX2 Nvidia plans to launch a new high-end card codenamed GT200. This new card will have a single PCB and it won’t be two chipsets at two PCBs with a sandwich design.
This has now been confirmed by a few sources, and some big boys now have to be prepare its machines for such a card.
This card will compete with R700; and both these cards are expected in the second half of 2008. We guess that late Q2 or early Q3 are the soonest you will see them.
