Qualcomm has announced its new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 mobile platforms, expanding its mid-range and entry-level smartphone lineup with improved gaming performance, smoother responsiveness, and enhanced power efficiency.
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 focuses on bringing more premium capabilities to mid-range and mainstream devices, including AI-powered camera features, Wi-Fi 7 support, and Qualcomm’s Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 for sustained gaming workloads. Qualcomm claims the platform delivers up to 21% better GPU performance, alongside smoother navigation and reduced screen stutter through its new Snapdragon Smooth Motion UI technology.

The Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 targets more affordable devices while still pushing noticeable gains in gaming and responsiveness. Qualcomm says the platform delivers up to 77% faster GPU performance and introduces 90 FPS gaming support to the Snapdragon 4 series for the first time. It also adds Dual SIM Dual Active support with 5G + 5G/4G connectivity, aimed at improving network flexibility and everyday usability.
