Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon C Platform, a new processor designed for entry-level laptops focused on students, families, and small businesses. One of the first partners to introduce such a laptop is Acer, putting it into a 15.6-inch Aspire Go 15.
While Qualcomm did not reveal any specific details regarding the platform, it did note that the Snapdragon C is built for web browsing, video streaming, productivity tasks, and video calls, while maintaining cool and quiet operation through its power-efficient design. The platform will, of course, integrate an NPU for on-device AI features, bringing AI acceleration to entry-tier laptops for the first time in this class.
According to Qualcomm, the platform aims to deliver responsive everyday performance, long battery life, and AI capabilities in affordable devices starting around the $300 segment.
Acer is one of the first OEMs to announce a laptop based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon C platform, packing it into a chassis with a 15.6-inch FHD screen, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. The Acer Aspire Go 15, as it is named, will also get a pair of speakers, an FHD camera, and a 53Whr battery.

Qualcomm confirmed that devices powered by the Snapdragon C Platform from OEM partners, including Acer, HP, and Lenovo, are expected to launch later this year.
