Asus has set an October 8 date for its first ProArt laptop with Nvidia’s RTX Spark N1X, though the exact sales timing still needs clarification.
The 16-inch ProArt P16 combines a 20-core Grace CPU with a Blackwell GPU carrying 6,144 CUDA cores. The chip supports up to 128GB of unified LPDDR5X memory, shared between the processor and graphics.
According to Notebookcheck, Asus confirmed an October 8 China launch through its official Weibo account. VideoCardz notes that Asus’s translated announcement says the laptop is “coming” on that date, leaving open whether it marks the announcement or the start of sales.
Asus plans two OLED screen options: a 3K panel and a 4K panel, both with 120Hz refresh rates. They cover the full DCI-P3 colour gamut and support touch and stylus input. Asus lists peak HDR brightness of up to 1,600 nits for the higher-resolution screen.
The laptop supports up to a 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD and has two M.2 slots compatible with PCIe 5.0 x4 drives. It measures between 12.9mm and 15.9mm thick, weighs 1.77kg and is 14 per cent thinner and 9 per cent lighter than its predecessor, according to Notebookcheck.
Asus claims RTX Spark can deliver up to one petaflop of AI performance. The company is pitching the platform for local AI and creative workloads, including running large language models without relying entirely on cloud services.
Nvidia has said RTX Spark systems will arrive in October. Asus previously showed the ProArt P16 alongside the smaller P14 laptop and the ProArt GR1X mini PC, though it has not yet released pricing or regional availability details.
