AMD's 55 nanometre part gets its name
We were informed that AMD's RV635, 55
nanometre chip scheduled for Q1 2008 will be branded as the Radeon HD
2650.
This could mean that this
PCIe 2.0 GPU with DirectX 10.1 support will end up on the market with
this xx50 name and that it will be faster than the HD 2600 XT clocked
at 800MHz.
As always, the name can change, but
this is the first time we've heard this one.
