Samsung has announced the next generation of its L series digital cameras
The L730 and L830 are 7 and 8 megapixel model respectively. Both feature 3X zoom, a 2.5" screen, Samsung's face recognition technology, all encased in a compact aluminum body. Shutter speeds up to 1/1500 are available, and combined with ISO 1600, should allow very low exposure times.
Video should also look nice in the maximum 900×592 resolution. They come with 16MB of embedded memory, expandable by SD cards to 4GB. These models should be available from the end of August and will retail at £119 and £149.
The thin and stylish L83T, an 8 megapixel camera, adds Advanced Shake Reduction its list of features. Apart from the 1/2000 max shutter speed, all other significant specs are similar to the L830.
It should be available in August for £179, and you'll get a two year warranty with this one.
