Sanyo Xacti CG65 hybrid


Sanyo has announced its first video camera to use
the advanced H.264 video codec, the Xacti CG65. The camera supports 6 Mega pixels resolution,
gyro image stabilization and advanced video processing which allows
video shooting in low lighting at just 7 lux with no lamp. 

 

The new compression supported by the camera is  MPEG-4
AVC/H.264 and is 25% more efficient than the current MPEG4 codec used in similar
devices. A 1 GB SD card will store 1,25 hours ov VGA resolution video
at HQ quality settings.

The camera is relatively compact in size, measuring 79x120x35mm (3,1×4,7×1,4") and weighing 225g (8oz.). The body is modeled ergonomically and comes in black, green or silver finish. The MSRP (Maximum Suggested Retail Price) is $399,99 in the US.
