Rumor false, says boss
SAP has denied that it is in talks to sell itself to Microsoft.
The company's shares rose after rumors that its Chief Executive, Henning Kagermann, was in talks to sell the company to Redmond. However, Kagermann went on record yesterday saying that he had had no discussions with Microsoft over any potential sale.
However, the rumor originated from the Microsoft camp, and so it is possible that he has not been formally approached by Redmond.
