Money makes the world go around
It appears that bundling coins wasn’t the only option for Super Mario Bros, but that it was the most appealing.
The man who created Mario, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that fruits were also among the choices. However, Nintendo’s president Satoru Iwata decided to go with coins as other items might confuse players.
Miyamoto said that they were looking for something that would make people want it and decided that “it’s gotta be money”. Quite funny if you ask us, since we heard that Nvidia exclaimed the same thing before their graphics rebrands.
