One of the biggest online MMORPGs is demanding that any women
who play its "King of the World" game must prove that they are what they
say.
Aurora Technology, has frozen accounts of male players who have
elected to play as female characters and is now insisting that any female
players send in pictures of themselves to prove it.
Kotatu wonders if this is going to work without questioning how it is possible to have
such sexually retarded rules. If the game makers made the gender rule
apply to everyone then it would be silly but would not be
sexist. Clearly they have not thought the role playing element of their
game through.
It might be some Aurora Technology manager has had an online
relationship with someone who he thought was a woman but turned out to
be a man.
