For the last seven
years millions of punters have seen a certain green hill when they have turned
on their Windows XP machines.
However the location of the green hill, which
Microsoft nicked from a photo bank, and called Bliss has been mystery. Now a
bloke from Sonoma County
in California claims to have found the hill. In fact much to his surprise he
discovered that he grew up near it and drove past it often without knowing its
claim to fame.
He is not the only person to drive past it either. Google
Maps has driven by and taken its own snap. Needless to say the famous hill looks completely different in real life, but it
is definitely the right shape. (Never mind the wines, apple trees would look much nicer there. sub.ed.)
