Trump orders companies to stop hackers with management report

That fixes that problem

President Donald (Prince of Orange) Trump has signed an executive order which he thinks will keep hackers from making America Grate again.

Trump has signed an executive order which he claims will modernise and improve the nation's computer networks. It will not keep the Russians out of course, but everyone knows that the Russians do not hack American networks.

Trump's homeland security adviser, Tom Bossert, says the order will help keep the US safer from cybersecurity risks. Among the new requirements is that agency heads must be accountable for implementing risk management measures.

There is nothing like mentioning that all your machines are running Windows XP in a risk management report, with lots of mentions of security standards, to deflect hackers from your network. The good side of it is that risk management measures are cheaper than just replacing the damn Windows XP machines. That is the sort of clever management type of thinking which was why people voted for Trump in the first place.

Trump pledged in late January to strengthen the government's ability to protect its computer networks, but then cancelled plans to sign an executive order on cybersecurity after seeing a shiny object on the other side of the Oval Office.
