Launching shuttles just isn't fun enough

If you
thought that the cash the US has been chucking at NASA was supposed to make them go back up there and explore something, you’ve apparently been wrong. Instead, it seems the outfit wisely invested their time in making an iPhone game titled Lunar Rover.

Users will get a chance to drive the Lunar Electric Rover on a future lunar outpost, get images from the “new world” and learn on what life on the Moon would be like, that is if we had the money to go back there. Later on you could probably get a spaceburger and impress a few space chicks as well with your Rover. Yeah, we made up that last part, no one’s impressed by that.

NASA already has a few educational iPhone apps in its CV as well, but now it says that it wanted to make this a “cool game” instead of an app where you retrieve information. We wonder where cool comes in.

You can find the game here.
