The mystery of what the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition will contain seems to now be known, due to a leaked photo that details it. The photo, which was apparently first leaked to Wired, appears to be real and accurate. Many of the extras were things that were rumored from our own sources, but not yet confirmed. Activision is apparently going to confirm the Hardened Edition and its contents this coming weekend at the Call of Duty XP in Los Angeles.

If the poster is real and accurate (which we believe it is) this is what you get for investing in the Hardened Edition of Modern Warfare 3:

-    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game with second unique disc art

-    One year of membership in Call of Duty Elite

-    “Founder status” on Elite with exclusive in-game emblem, player card, camouflage, clan XP boost and other exclusive benefits that have yet to be determined at this time.

-    SteelBook case

-    PlayStation Network exclusive: “Animated Timeline Theme" for the PlayStation 3 version

-    Xbox 360 exclusive: “Special Ops Juggernaut Xbox Live Avatar Outfit" for the Xbox 360 version

-    Limited-edition “field journal” with more than 100 pages of “authentic military sketches, diagrams and written entries."

Modern Warfare 3 is still on track for release in November for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. It would appear that the PC will not be getting a Hardened release as expected. Expect official confirmation of the Hardened Edition to come this weekend.
