NEC X555UNS55-Inch Full HD Monitor with S-IPS Panel

NEC have been showing off its new broadcast quality monitor – it costs a bomb and is not even 4K.

The $7,599 NEC X555UNS55 is a full HD Monitor with an S-IPS Panel. It is intended for industry sectors like broadcast, retail and command and control. It is a 55-inch S-IPS which has great angle views and colour reproduction at off viewing angles in both landscape and portrait orientation.

Direct LED-backlight monitor supports a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

The monitor provides 3500:1 contrast ratio, 700 cd/m2 brightness, 12ms response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles.

It has commercial-grade cooling fans and temperature sensor, and has 1x DVI-D, 1x HDMI and 1x DisplayPort input ports.

Its best feature is FrameComp, which compensates for content lag typically seen in larger video walls with horizontal moving objects.

Auto TileMatrix allows a user to set up the size of the video wall on the first display and automatically scale the content through the remaining displays. With the press of a few buttons, the entire video wall is complete.

The displays support Intel's Open Pluggable Specification (OPS), an industry-wide standard in option slots to simplify digital signage. The OPS option slots enable easier installation, use and maintenance. Audio, video, power and control are all internal to the displays.

The X555UNS will be available in October 2015 at a minimum advertised price of $7,599. The displays ship with a 3-year warranty, including the backlight.
