With Seaweed-blade cooler

MSI has officially launched its overclocked 9600GSO card. Besides the regular 384MB of GDDR3 memory, which is in this case slightly overclocked, the card will feature MSI's Seaweed-blade cooler.

This card works at 600MHz for the core and comes with 384MB of GDDR3 memory working at 1,800MHz. It has 96 stream processors with shaders clocked at 1500MHz. Other features include support for DirectX 10, Shader Model 4.0 and PCI-Express 2.0. As every other 9600GSO on the market, this one also comes with 192-bit memory interface.

The card uses MSI's Seaweed-blade cooler, which should have lower noise and bring higher overclocking capabilities. The only drawback is that it makes this card a dual slot design. As we wrote before, MSI will also have a version with 768MB of GDDR3 memory. Like the 9600GSO 384MB series, these will probably be available as OC and non-OC versions.

The card is currently listed at our favorite European price search engine, Geizhals.at, and the lowest price stands at €102.34. You can check it out here.
