3.0GHz with 65W TDP

AMD is still on schedule to deliver its 45nm dual-core with AM3 support codenamed Regor, in Q3 2009. We heard that this might happen in early Q3 but this is something that tends to change quite a lot.

The fastest one is Athlon X2 250, a 3.0GHz dual-core with 3MB of total cache or 2x512KB for two cores and an additional 2MB of L3 that is shared between the cores. There will be two more Athon X2 2xx CPUs, with 2.9GHz and 2.8GHz. They should also launch at the same time.

The Regor dual-core 45nm generation should replace Kuma based 65nm dual-cores that you know better as Athlon X2 7x50 generation and since Regor has 65W TDP it beats the 95W or Kuma based CPUs.

This definitely means that really competitive dual-core line up is just around the corner and we mean both Callisto and Regor have a decent chance to spoil Core 2 Duo and Pentium dual-core sales.
