Nvidia releases new hotfix driver and adds new DLSS 4 games

Nvidia has rolled out a second hotfix driver this month, the GeForce 596.02 Hotfix, fixing a stuttering issue introduced with the previous 595.97 WHQL driver that was released earlier this week. Alongside the driver release, Nvidia also added more details to its DLSS lineup, including Forza Horizon 6, Screamer, Subliminal, and Alan Wake Remastered.

According to the official release notes, the problem was limited to Arknights: Endfield, but it appears the stuttering issue was bad enough for Nvidia to push out a dedicated hotfix. As with previous hotfix drivers, Nvidia was keen to note that these are intended as quick fixes, giving gamers a quick solution, so unless you are playing that game, you do not have to update the drivers.

The previously released Geforce 595.79 WHQL Game Ready driver brought support for Crimson Desert and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach games, as well as fixed several important issues in games like Star Citizen, Crimson Desert, and Resident Evil Requiem. The Geforce 595.97 WHQL also fixed some issues but brought a few new ones as well.

Alongside the driver update, Nvidia also highlighted a new wave of games adopting its latest RTX technologies. Titles like Screamer and Subliminal are launching with DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation, while Forza Horizon 6, arriving on May 19th, will combine DLSS 4 support with ray tracing features. The game is set in Japan and will feature a large open world, a wide roster of cars, and both solo and co-op gameplay. Nvidia also noted that updates are rolling out to existing titles such as Alan Wake Remastered, which is receiving newer DLSS improvements, further enhancing image quality and performance.

Nvidia also briefly teased its next step in AI-powered rendering with DLSS 5, aiming to further improve image quality and realism. Overall, the company continues to expand DLSS and RTX support across both new releases and existing titles, while also celebrating strong adoption and player numbers for recent games like Resident Evil Requiem.
