Shows up in court documents
Court documents seen at the Apple v. Samsung trial showed a rather interesting Samsung tablet that is currently known only under its “P10” codename. Paired up with a 2560×1600 screen, the P10 might be a Samsung response to the Retina-class device.
A high-resolution Samsung tablet has been mentioned for quite some time and really does not come as a surprise considering that Samsung is one of the major players on the display market. Unfortunately, other than the WQXGA 2560×1600 resolution screen, the rest of the specifications are still unknown. It is also unclear whether the tablet is a concept or an actual product.
However, the leaked document refers to the P10 as a 2012 product and Samsung has a scheduled event in mid-August that could be a place for the unveiling.
