be quiet! has introduced its new Dark Power Pro 14 IO power supply series, aimed at high-end gaming systems, overclocked PCs and demanding workstation builds. The lineup consists of 1600W and 1300W models, both built around an ATX 3.1 design with native 12V-2×6 connectivity for PCIe 5.1 graphics cards. The PSUs also carry both 80 Plus Titanium and Cybenetics Titanium certifications, with efficiency reaching up to 94.9%.
The Dark Power Pro 14 IO is also the first be quiet! PSU to offer software-based monitoring and configuration through the company’s IO Center. Users can switch between single-rail and multi-rail operation and choose either active or semi-passive cooling. The software provides real-time readings for power consumption, efficiency, and fan speed, while also calculating estimated electricity costs based on usage.
Cooling is handled by a newly designed aluminium heatsink with an integrated Silent Wings fan. In semi-passive mode, the fan remains stopped at low loads and starts when additional cooling is required, while active mode keeps it running continuously. The fan uses a six-pole motor and fluid-dynamic bearing, while the integrated design helps isolate it from vibration.
Internally, the PSUs use fully digital control with Active Rectifier full-bridge LLC technology, targeting improved regulation and lower ripple. Connectivity includes the native 12V-2×6 connector and four PCIe 6+2-pin connectors, allowing the units to accommodate both current and upcoming high-end GPUs. Fully modular sleeved cables and multiple cable-comb sizes are included for easier cable management, while protection covers overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuits, overheating, overload, and input surges.
Both models carry a 10-year warranty and will go on sale from September 1. The 1600W Dark Power Pro 14 IO is priced at $499.90/€479.90/£449.99, while the 1300W model costs $479.90/€439.90/£399.99.
