Framework introduces new Laptop 13 Pro with Core Ultra Series 3 CPUs, LPCAMM2 memory, starting at $1,199

Framework has introduced its new Framework Laptop 13 Pro. Featuring Core Ultra Series 3 processors, LPCAMM2 memory, and a significantly larger battery, Framework announced it as a ground-up redesign focused on efficiency, performance, and refinement while staying true to its repairable and upgradeable approach.

The biggest upgrade is battery life. Framework claims over 20 hours of 4K video streaming, driven by Intel’s Core Ultra Series 3 processors, a larger 74Wh battery, and new LPCAMM2 memory. Configurations range from Core Ultra 5 to Core Ultra X9, with improved integrated graphics and a more efficient tiled architecture. The shift to LPCAMM2 enables faster LPDDR5X memory in an upgradeable format, with capacities up to 64GB. The system also adds PCIe 5.0 storage support (up to 8TB), Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 4, and a new 100W GaN charger.

On the hardware side, Framework is introducing a redesigned 13.5-inch 3:2 display (2880×1920) with up to 700 nits brightness, 1800:1 contrast, 30–120Hz refresh rate, and touch support. The laptop moves to a CNC-machined aluminum chassis weighing around 1.4 kg, and adds a haptic touchpad, Dolby Atmos speakers, and a refined keyboard. Linux remains a priority, with Ubuntu Certified configurations available alongside Windows and DIY options. As before, existing Framework Laptop 13 owners can upgrade key components, including the mainboard and display, keeping the modular ecosystem intact.

Pre-orders for the new Framework Laptop 13 Pro are open now, starting at $1,199 for the DIY Edition and $1,499 for pre-built systems, with shipments expected in June.
