MSI has rather quietly teased the possible return of the Lighting graphics card series at the CES 2026 show, and the design of the RTX 5090 Lightning Z has already been leaked online.
Last week, MSI slipped a small teaser suggesting the launch of its Lightning graphics card series, showing a lightning weather report for January 5th. While the most likely suspect was the Nvidia Geforce RTX 5090 graphics card, a recent leak, spotted by Videocardz.com, showcased such a design, with no less than a 2,500W XOC BIOS, 40-phase VRM, two 12V-2×6 power connectors, and an AIO liquid cooling system with a 360mm radiator.
The card has already been run through HWBOT, reaching a GPU clock of 3,742MHz, which makes it one of the highest clocked RTX 5090s around.
We’ll wait for MSI’s official announcement to check out the full specifications and feature list for the new Lightning series graphics card.
