Qualcomm announces Snapdragon X2 Plus platform at CES 2026

At the CES 2026 show in Las Vegas, Qualcomm has announced its latest Snapdragon X2 Plus platform, promising fast and responsive portable devices with multi-day battery life.

Coming in two versions, Snapdragon X2 Plus 10-core and Snapdragon X2 Plus 6-core, both SKUs will power Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs and be available from OEMs in the first half of 2026. Qualcomm is promising up to 35 percent faster CPU single-core performance and 43 percent lower power consumption, compared to the previous generation, and thanks to the 3rd Gen Oryon CPU. The integrated Qualcomm Hexagon NPU delivers 80 TOPS of AI performance, and it will feature Wi-Fi 7 and optional 5G connectivity, as well as Snapdragon Guardian security.

Specification-wise, the Snapdragon X2 Plus 10-core uses six Prime cores clocked at 4.0GHz (4.04GHz boost), has four Performance cores working at 3.4GHz, and packs a total of 34MB of cache. The Snapdragon X2 Plus 6-core uses the same six Prime cores with the same clock, but lacks those Performance cores and has 22MB of total cache. Both SKUs feature Qualcomm Adreno X2-45 GPU working at 1.7GHz on the 10-core SKU and 0.9GHz on the 6-core SKU. Both SKUs also support up to 128GB of 128-bit LPDDR5x memory with a total bandwidth of 152GB/s.

As said, Qualcomm integrated its FastConnect 7800 system with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 (LE).

“Modern professionals and creators want to do more, create more, and push the limits of generative AI and all-day performance. Snapdragon X2 Plus platform delivers the power, efficiency and intelligence to surpass their ambitions, making each experience more responsive and personal,” said Kedar Kondap, senior vice president and general manager, computing and gaming, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.
