Razer has introduced the new Pro Type Ergo, a wireless keyboard aimed at users who spend long hours at their desks, combining an ergonomic split layout with a familiar typing experience.
The design focuses on reducing strain without requiring a major adjustment period, positioning it as a practical option for everyday productivity. The keyboard features a split layout to improve hand and arm positioning, along with a 10-degree base slope and multiple adjustable typing angles. A built-in wrist rest adds support, while layout tweaks such as dual “B” and space keys and a central backspace aim to reduce finger movement and improve efficiency during extended use.
It uses low-profile keycaps with shorter travel to minimise effort, alongside sound-dampening and tuned stabilisers for quieter operation. Razer also includes dedicated macro keys, a mic-mute button, and its Command Dial, with pre-configured shortcuts for common tasks, plus additional customisation through Razer Synapse and support for AI-assisted functions.
The Pro Type Ergo supports multi-device connectivity via 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-C, and offers up to three months of battery life. With a clean design and optional Chroma RGB lighting, it is aimed at modern work setups that balance comfort and functionality.
