Relic announces Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand standalone wave defense game

Relic Entertainment has announced Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand, a new standalone entry in the long-running RTS series launching on July 29 for PC via Steam. Instead of the traditional campaign-focused gameplay, Final Stand shifts toward a wave-defense survival format with roguelite mechanics, designed for both solo and cooperative play.

Players will need to build defenses, manage resources, and survive increasingly difficult enemy assaults across 12 escalating rounds. The game also includes dynamic battlefield events, boss encounters, and faction-specific progression systems designed to encourage replayability. Relic says Final Stand keeps the tactical combat and battlefield management the series is known for while adding faster-paced survival gameplay and persistent upgrades between runs.

The game features four playable factions: US Forces, Wehrmacht, British Forces, and Deutsches Afrikakorps, each with different units, abilities, and upgrade trees. There will also be five dedicated battleground maps, eight difficulty settings, 36 boss units, and an Endless Mode for players looking for longer survival sessions. Unlike previous entries, Final Stand is completely standalone, meaning players do not need to own Company of Heroes 3 or earlier games in the franchise. Relic is launching the game as part of the franchise’s 20th anniversary celebration, alongside the recently announced Company of Heroes Definitive Edition and continued support for existing titles.

Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand launches on July 29 with a price set at $29.99, with launch discounts available for early buyers and existing Company of Heroes 3 owners.
