Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is showing up with lousy availability and big price hikes across regions, turning a sensible buy into a bad joke.
Retailers in North America and Europe keep listing the 16GB model in ones and twos, and then whack on pricing that makes last month’s deals look like a misprint.
In some cases, the sticker shock is wild. A month ago, you could have bought an RTX 5070 Ti for the same money.
At German retailer Mindfactory, weekly sales numbers have fallen off a cliff, with the RTX 5060 Ti dropping to just 20 units across both 8GB and 16GB models.
That is a sharp change from last month, when more than 200 units moved in a week, and the fall looks even uglier once you clock the pricing.
Mindfactory has RTX 5060 Ti 16GB listings starting around €619, with some models up at €649.94, which makes AMD’s RX 9060 XT 16GB at €449 look like the grown-up option.
Mindfactory shifted nearly 230 RX 9060 XT units in the same period, while the Arc B580 shifted 30, which is not exactly a vote of confidence in Nvidia’s value pitch.
Across the Channel, Amazon UK pricing looks even more cursed, with it being hard to find an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB for less than £700 (€805).
Meanwhile, the RX 9060 XT 16GB is sitting there at roughly half the price, making the Nvidia card feel like a dare.
On Amazon US, the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is starting around $679, and plenty of listings sail past $700, while the RX 9060 XT 16GB is still turning up in the $399 to $460 band.
The wider picture suggests Nvidia is keeping a steadier supply of the RTX 5060 at the low end, while pushing more volume into the RTX 5080 at the high end.
That shift leaves the 16GB budget tier in a weird limbo, where people want the VRAM but not the ransom note attached to it.
