Xiaomi has confirmed new Redmi Book laptops with Intel Wildcat Lake processors, promising lengthy battery life ahead of their Chinese launch on 27 October.
The Redmi Book 14 2027 and Redmi Book 16 2027 will use Intel’s Core Series 3 platform. Pricing and full specifications remain unannounced.
According to TweakTown, Xiaomi president Lu Weibing said the 14-inch model combines an Intel 18A processor, LPDDR5x memory and a 72Wh battery.
Xiaomi claims that combination delivers up to 20.2 hours of simulated office work and 1.26 days of local video playback. Independent testing will determine how much of that holds up in a real workday.
Promotional images show a redesigned metal chassis in blue and purple finishes. The 14-inch machine retains two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, full-size HDMI and a 3.5mm audio socket.
The larger Redmi Book 16 2027 has appeared in Geekbench listings with an Intel Core 5 320 processor and 16GB of DDR5-4800 memory. Xiaomi has not yet confirmed whether that memory configuration will reach retail machines.
The Core 5 320 combines two Cougar Cove performance cores with four Darkmont low-power efficiency cores, giving it six cores and six threads. Maximum boost frequency reaches 4.6GHz. The processor has a 15W base power rating and a maximum turbo power of 35W.
Graphics come from a two-core Xe3-LPG integrated GPU, while an onboard neural processing unit delivers a claimed 16 TOPS. The previous Redmi Book 2026 range used Intel’s 14-core Core Ultra 5 125H. Switching to a six-core Wildcat Lake processor suggests Xiaomi is putting greater emphasis on efficiency, though performance comparisons will require tests of the finished laptops.
Chipzilla’s lower-power platform could help Xiaomi stretch battery life, but buyers will need to see how the machines handle sustained workloads alongside those carefully simulated office tasks.
Xiaomi plans to reveal full specifications, retail pricing and international availability details during the 27 October event, alongside its Redmi K100 smartphone series.
