The OCZ PC2-6400 800MHz 1T Titanium XTC EPP-Ready memory is here and we played with it for a while. This memory is fast and if the speed is important factor for you, OCZ might have something for you. This time we are talking about the 800 MHz memory with 1T timings. As any other from OCZ this memory also comes with a lifetime warranty.
The titanium brand stands for approved stability and endurance. Actually Titanium now comes with heatspreaders. Using XTC (Extreme Thermal Convention) heatspreaders in honeycomb design helps the cool the memory better.
The heat is not so dramatically important factor for a memory but with better cooling you should achieve better overclocking. When speaking about efficient cooling we had a chance to play with OCZ PC2-9200 FLEX XLC (Xtreme Liquid Convention) memory and we achieved 1280MHz for this super fast memory. After we got the EVGA 680i SLI black pearl water cooled motherboard we water cooled the FLEX XLC memory and got 20MHz more than before. Stable 1300MHz is superb score for a DDR2 memory but it is just 1.56% higher than without water. We cannot complain as we got even 1320MHz using water cooling. Our system was not stable all the time but we were able to boot in windows. You can read about it here.
The special features of PC2-6400 Titanium are EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles) and more important 2.3V EVP (Extended Voltage Protection). EVP comes good in overclocking as it can handle higher voltages and with up to 2.3V ± 5%. With these voltages you won't be endangering your OCZ lifetime warranty.
This is one of the rare modules that can give one command per clock cycle (1T). CL4 latency and 4-4-4-15 timings along with 1T command rate are sure an exotic offer for the performance enthusiast.

The package is standard and simple. It is reusable and RoHS environmentally compliant. Earth day was on 22. April, so keep that in mind.
Memory modules itself looks line in a black coloured Titanium HTC heatspreaders and was full stable at guaranteed 1T rate and 800 MHz 4-4-4-15 speeds.
