Africa Command deems OpenAI Technology "Essential"

A procurement document obtained by The Intercept reveals that US Africa Command (AFRICOM) considers access to OpenAI's technology "essential" for its operations.

According to The Intercept, conspiracy theorists and far-right white supremacist groups are increasingly targeting mobile phone towers and other critical infrastructure "to incite fear, disrupt essential services, and cause economic damage with the United States and abroad".
