Bad week for dropping the ball

Intel and AMD dropped the ball on some key products. AMD said it was postponing this month's launch of the 7040HS series to April, and Chipzilla abandoned its Thunder Bay niche accelerator.

Only Dragon Range for now

Although originally meant to launch in March, the AMD Ryzen 7040HS Phoenix laptop CPU series has been officially pushed back to April.

The Ryzen 9 7945HX goes against Core i9-13950HX

AMD has announced the availability of its Ryzen 7045HX-series Dragon Range CPUs for high performance gaming laptops. These Zen 4 Dragon Range 5nm chiplet-design chips, should be enough to get ahead of Intel's 13th gen Raptor Lake counterparts, at least according to AMD.

Up to 24 percent faster in some scenarios

AMD has now officially released the first official gaming benchmarks for its Ryzen 7 7800X3D SKU that is scheduled to launch on April 9th.

You probably were not expecting this

AMD's latest marketing bumph claims the Ryzen 7045 and Ryzen 7035 series are twice as fast as Intel's 12th Generation Alder Lake chips.

Reviews coming up on February 27th

It has been a while since we got an announcement for the Ryzen 7000X3D series, and now it appears that reviews will be coming a day before the launch, February 27th.

Must be getting close to release 

Benchmarks for AMD's Ryzen 7045-series (codename Dragon Range) range are starting to appear online -- a sure sign that releases are about to start.
