AMD has officially announced its newest Radeon RY 6600 XT graphics card, the latest addition to the RDNA2-based graphics card. AMD is marketing the Radeon RX 6600 XT as a perfect graphics card for "high refresh rate 1080p gaming", and compares this $379-priced card with Nvidia GTX 1060.
Benchmarked as well
With the launch of AMD's latest Radeon RX 6600 series graphics cards scheduled for next month, it does not come as a surprise that we are getting first glimpses of the card as well as the first leaked benchmarks.
Still no word about MSRP
According to our sources, both the Radeon RX 6600 XT and the Radeon RX 6600 should launch on August 11th. Unfortunately, there is still no word about the suggested retail price, but so far it looks like there should be plenty of cards around.
AMD's AIB partner, Powercolor, has jumped the gun and briefly listed the Radeon RX 6600 series on its website, suggesting that the official launch is just around the corner.
Single-fan and 8-pin power connector
A rendering of what appears to be the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT has leaked online, showing a dual-slot graphics card with a single center-placed fan and a single 8-pin PCIe power connector.
Starting with 7 games at launch, more coming soon
AMD has launched its FidelityFX Super Resolution upscaling technology, which will be available in seven games at launch with additional titles coming soon.
Not coming to retail/e-tail
The recently spotted reference Radeon RX 6900 XT LC (Liquid Cooled) graphics card is apparently exclusive to System Integrators (SIs), according to AMD.
Both coming with 8GB of VRAM
Upcoming Radeon RX 6600 XT and Radeon RX 6600 have been spotted in the ECC listing, showing that these cards will come with 8GB of VRAM.
