Qualcomm has announced its newest Snapdragon chipset, the Snapdragon 870 5G. While the Snapdragon 888 SoC will be reserved for the high-end, smartphone makers that get the new Snapdragon 870 5G for slightly cheaper 5G-enabled smartphones.
Enables affordable 5G headsets in Q1 2021

Improvements across the board
After initially announcing its 5nm Snapdragon 888 platform yesterday, Qualcomm has now revealed some official technical specifications, showing improvements all across the chip, with the new Kryo 680 CPU, Adreno 660 GPU, new Spectra 580 ISP, Hexagon 780 processor, and more.
