World in Conflict

Like we've said in the beginning of our review, Nvidia aimed to steal the HD 4890's wind with its GTX 275, and it partially worked. Still, Radeon HD 4890 quite often manages to challenge the GTX 275, but if we look at the results at high resolutions, it's evident that the GTX 275 comes out on top.

Conclusion

If you're looking for a graphics card capable of high resolutions and you've decided on the green team, then Geforce GTX 275 is a card that you surely must consider. We had a chance to play with Gainward GTX 275 Golden Sample card, which is clocked higher than reference GTX 275 and scores slightly better.

Gainward used dual slot cooling with two fans and while the cooling is more efficient than reference, you'll hear it during operation. Unlike the reference card, Gainward GTX 275 Golden Sample comes with an HDMI out. Apart from that, the card also features dual-link DVI and VGA outs.

This is a DirectX 10 card, but since Nvidia currently has no DirectX 11 cards, Geforce GTX 275 is a good choice. Gainward GTX 275 Golden Sample is currently priced at about 200 euro, which is about 20 euro more than the lowest priced reference card. Unfortunately, this card will score about 3% better while being 11% pricier, so if bang-per-buck is your game you might want to check out Gainward GTX 275 896MB TV Dual DVI, which has no HDMI out but is more affordable.
