HP profits soar on Notebooks and Servers
Business is booming
HP's profits have been doing very well, thanks to increased sales of Notebooks and servers, particularly in emerging nations.
According to HP's latest fourth-quarter earnings, its PC business was earning the most for the company. Revenue for the Personal Systems Group, which sells desktops and notebook PCs, was up 30 percent from the same quarter a year ago to $10.1 billion.
HP said that the demand has nothing to do with Microsoft's Vista rollouts. While people were not holding back on buying Vista, it certainly was not a driver for sales this year. HP reported $28.3 billion in revenue, an increase of 15 percent from the same time last year.
