In a forum thread posted by internal company figures, the ExoPC has now received an official pre-order page prior to the final product being ready for shipping. The 32GB model will be priced at $649 CAD (about $625 / €485) while the 64GB model will be priced at $749 CAD (about $722 / €560). Full hardware specifications include an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz single-core processor, 2GB of DDR2 memory, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, three USB 2.0 ports, a mini HDMI port, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing webcam, and an SDHC memory card reader.
In a very unfortunate explanation, the company also announced that the 64GB might not feature a GPS radio. "We were not able to have it working on the prototype and we do not have enough time to change the provider. So, if we are not able to have it working by the 15th of September, the 64GB will come with no GPS. Otherwise we will keep it in the final units."
Nevertheless, both models will feature "up to" 160MB/s fast SanDisk P4 mini-SSDs and up to four hours of battery life. According to a recent hands-on review by Engadget, the tablet fits right in between the 12.1-inch Fusion Garage JooJoo and the first generation 9.7-inch Apple iPad.
