Asustek has announced that it would end its smartphone cooperation deal with navigation specialists Garmin.
Garmin had announced that it's mulling the future of its smartphone business back in September. Garmin's smartphone sales totaled a meager $27 million in July with no positive long term outlook.
Analysts had previously predicted that Garmin would pull out of the smartphone market over the next few quarters. In spite of massive growth in the smartphone market, the Garmin Asus alliance failed to gain a foothold.
Garmin has not commented Asustek's decision.
