The terms of the deal are still unknown. None other than the Wall Street Journal’s Dennis Berman is reporting on his Twitter feed that Sprint will be offering the iPhone 5 in the middle of October. In addition, rumors continue that the iPhone 4 will continue to be offered by other carriers as a lower-priced option for those that can’t afford the latest and greatest iPhone. It is probable that only AT&T and Verizon will continue to offer the iPhone 4 alongside the new iPhone 5. It does not seem likely that Sprint will be offering the older and lower cost iPhone 4.
Of course, the biggest advantage of the iPhone 5 is likely to be that it is thinner and lighter with a more powerful dual-core processor and an 8 megapixel camera. We will have to wait and see, but rumblings seem to indicate that the iPhone 5 will be a big upgrade over the iPhone 4, which should attract a lot of attention.
