Nothing new from Valve at E3

Will still be at E3 showing announced titles

According to what we are hearing now from a number of sources, Valve will be at E3 this year, but they have no plans to announce anything new. That means no announcement for Left for Dead 3, Half Live 3, or Portal 3 will be rocking the show.

Instead, Valve is planning to focus on upcoming and already announced titles that everyone already knows about such as Counterstrike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, and the Steam 10-foot big picture user interface they have been working on.

The news comes as a rather interesting development, as many expected that Valve was going to at least tease an announcement for Half Life 3 or Left 4 Dead 3 at E3 this year. The news could mean, however, that Valve has decided it will be moving to offer both Half Life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3 as releases for the next generation of consoles and the PC, of course, rather than offer them for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Valve has not confirmed that this is the case, but it would perhaps be the right decision in the longer term, depending on how far the project is in the development process.
