According to a post over at Pocket-lint.com, UK OUYA pledgers might see their consoles as early as March. Additionally, it appears that most of the extra funding will be spent toward the development of a new upgraded device that will focus on stereoscopic 3D gaming.
Although the OUYA website currently states that the pre-orders will ship in April, Pocket-lint.com reports that there will be enough stock to get them to early birds a bit sooner, as early as March. OUYA has been probably the most interesting Kickstarter campaign by scoring US $8.6 million in funding. According to early details, once it hits full consumer release, OUYA might end up to be an Amazon.com exclusive, at least in the USA, and similar deal might be happening in Europe as well.
In addition to those good news for early pledgers and those that plan to buy it once it hits retail/e-tail, Pocket-lint.com reports that the company does not plan to stop at current OUYA and wants to push the extra funding into development of a new OUYA that will focus on stereoscopic 3D gaming. Such device might easily end up with the new Tegra 4 chip, as if it can easily deal with 4k resolution it will not have any trouble with higher resolution stereoscopic 3D either. Of course, stereoscopic 3D is also possible on the Tegra 3 as well although we are not sure if the current OUYA console is fully compatible.
