Cooler Master has announced the new G-series power supply series that will consist of 500W, 600W and 700W models and feature active PFC and 80 Plus Bronze certification.
Although the G-series is more aimed at the mainstream market it still features an active PFC, 80 Plus Bronze certification and multiple protections including Voltage-Protections, Current-Protections, Short Circuit Protection and Temperature-Protection. The entire G-series will be able to cope with power hungry GPUs and latest CPUs on the market, including Intel's 4th generation Core Haswell CPUs, all thanks to its single 12V rail design with up to 55A on the G700 model.
Cooled by a single intelligent speed control bottom placed 120mm fan that will work in silent mode until PSU hits 70% load should keep the PSU as quiet as possible. It will feature up to nine SATA connectors (six on G500 and G600 models), three standard molex connectors as well as multi-graphics support on the G700 model.
The entire series will be packed in nature-friendly "go green" package made from recycled paper and should be hitting the market at the beginning of the next month. The price might vary depending on the region but an estimated end user price with VAT is set at around €59,95 for the G500, €69,95 for G600 and €79,95 for G700.
