According to Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter, Sony and the PlayStation 4 are leading Microsoft and the Xbox One in sales for the month of November by an estimated half a million units. While it is still early and of course Sony had a head start by launching earlier.

The numbers have seen Sony sell 2.1 million PS4 consoles, while Microsoft has been able to over one million at launch. Roughly it is estimated that 700,000 of those PS4 units were sold outside North America.

While units continue to go in and out of stock at retailers, the number of units that retailers are getting of both the PS4 and Xbox One seem to be coming in at a trickle in the previous weeks since release, but are starting to pick up a little steam as multiple retailers are expecting shipments this week and next.
